APSRTC has started using the new TATA Hispano inter-city luxury buses. The main reason for this is the lower cost of the bus, which is around Rs 50, a good Rs 25 lakh less than the likes of the Volvo B7R.

Damn! The bus looks so awkward. no way it can compete with the b7r.
looks good. how about the performance? its TATA :-)
anonymous : does your choice of travel depends on the looks of the bus? or its ticket price / comfort / interiors etc?
sujith: performance..hmm.. the B7R is 290 bhp.. i guess the TATA Hispano is around 240-250bhp.. not bad i guess
The B7Rs redefined inter city travel. For me,bus travel means B7R.We have to see how do the new Hispano buses match up to the B7Rs in terms of comfort and the overall superiority.
The shape of the bus though does look wierd in this pic.
The tatas are upto the competition ,the bus has more legroom and its damn comfortable , it took 5 hours from vja to hyd, even b7r take the same time ... The cummins engine is no doubt smooth
tata's are working with best groups world wide like marcopolo,Hispano Carrocera, Daewoo. no dought they gonna compete with others in near future in luxury segment.
I had chance of traveling by Tata Hipsano Bus , Pune-Dadar(MSRTC)
Ride was pretty smooth and comfortable , bus was doing around 100-105 KM/hr
but still it cannot be compared to Volvo ,
man its cheaper than b7r by 20 lakhs , give the premium tatas can also provide same comfort as i use there buses in europe . they are indeed comparable , www.tatahispano.com have a look ...
Why the hell indians have problem with indian products... Tata xis upto making something good rather than appreciating it we start with negative things about it... support them ...
tata hispano intercity buses are awesome buses.best of the best, best airconditioning they have and quite comfirtable in luxury.
Be indian...buy indian....a good effort from tata to make a world class coach and compete with the big name in bus industry
