Jaipur to Shimla Volvo bus service by RSRTC
Yes indeed. This service has been on for a while now by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation. They are playing their Volvo bus from Jaipur to Shimla and Shimla to Jaipur via New Delhi.
The RSRTC Volvo bus leaves Jaipur at 9:30pm and arrives in Shimla the next day at approximately 9-10am. The fare for the trip is a very steep Rs 1418! That is Rs 2.3 per km! Compare this with Rs 1200 for a Mumbai-Bangalore 1050km trip.

This is a nice facility provided by RSTC for Tourist but in off season it is very costly, compared to private Volvo buses, private Volvo buses charge only rs 400/ Shimla to Delhi, and rs 500/ for Jaipur to Delhi
Shimla to Jaipur Volvo bus service provided by RSTC is nice for tourist, but for other people, especially in off season it is very costly compared to private Volvo bus operaters, which charge only rs 400/ for Shimla to Delhi and rs 500/ for Delhi to Japur whereas RSTC charges rs 1475/ at least rs 500/ more.
SHIMLA TO JAIPUR VOLVO BUS OF RSTC CHARGES AT LEAST RS500/ MORE THAN PRIVATE VOLVO BUS OPERATOR
rsrtc volvos are the most expensive volvo's of india .the fare from delhi to jaipur for single axle volvo is 685 , for multiaxle the fare is 735 and for the multiaxle with lcd and pantry it is 785. the private bus operator shrinath travels provides the multiaxle vovlo service at the cost of just 500 .but they had started the service on 1st of this month thats why there is no rush. but guys dont u think about rs 785 for 250 kms is it fare ?
i dont why rstc is taking 785 for a small distance of 250 kms between delhi and jaipur ? while the haryana roadways had started their multiaxle this month from delhi to chandigarh at just a mere fare of 510/ and the biggest surprise is that they are not taking 100 or 50 or even 1o rs more for multiaxle services.the fare is same for both coaches.
The services offered by RSTC is good. But don't you think your charges are little high than the private Volvo buses.
