HRTC or Himachal Road Transport Corporation has finally started Volvo bus service from New Delhi to Rampur, Himachal Pradesh via Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda. This Volvo bus service is called Himsuta and details are as follows
Delhi to Rampur HRTC Himsuta Volvo bus Departure: 6:45am
Expected Arrival at Shimla: 2:30pm
Expected Arrival at Narkanda: 5:30pm
Expected Arrival at Rampur: 7:45pm
Rampur to Delhi HRTC Himsuta Volvo bus Departure: 8:30am
Departure from Shimla: 1:45pm
Arrival at Delhi (ISBT): 10:00pm
The fare for the journey stands at Rs 1,335 which is very high considering its a journey of about 500km only.
Route: This bus goes to Rampur from Delhi via Shimla bypass (Malyana), Kufri and Narkanda. Infact, at 8800 feet, the bus passes through Narkanda which makes this the highest elevation for a Volvo bus route in India. This route is also snow bound from mid December to end of February. During snowfall, the bus will be routed via Basantpur and will take a couple of hours extra.
