I had started a topic on top speed of Volvo B7R buses in India (CLICK HERE)
Recently, while going to Mumbai from Pune on the expressway, I managed to notice a MSRTC Shivneri Volvo B7R doing crazy speeds. Watch the video for more. Be careful at the 2min 25sec mark, when you can see that the bus is doing around 117-118km/h!! Thats a lot for a bus in India. Feel free to comment on the video

I didnt know that the new B7R's have speedos marked more than 120!!
and ...how is that both the King Longs and the B7Rs have similar speedos

SS : u took it all wrong. I was in the Mahindra XYLO and you can the XYLO's speedometer.
As seen in the video, the XYLO's speedometer shows around 118km/h with the Volvo B7R in front of it, which i was following for a long time.
Similarly, i followed the kinglong too in my XYLO, and hence the same speedometer
oops !!...i am so sorry ...i had seen only the pic and saw the videos now :P

Top Speed of Volvo B7R is 121 KMPH...
from which source u said volvo has 121 km/hr speed.. volvo company @ india they told its about 103 km/hr.
I hav a sugesion dat to improve the top speed of b9r as it bears the most power ful n comfrtable bus in india..around 200km/hr..nw it hav 120km/hr..bcos if a pulser 220 riding can easily ovrtak b9r as 220bears a top speed of 145km/hr..im i ryt?
Official website of Volvo says the top speed of B7R is 103KMPH, but this bus has the capability to go upto 120KMPH easily.If volvo says that top speed is 120KMPH officially then they might not enter indian market at all, because a top speed of 120KMPH for a bus is too much in india.
There is something called as speedo error.
most speedos have 10-15% error...so if the speedo shows 120 kph ...the true top speed is only around 100-105 kph :)
Satya : Ofcourse i know that (being in this industry). And its not 10-15%, its lesser these days as per our GPS based VBox data. The Xylo, at an indicated 118km/h will be around 110 true - error of 7%
My Dear speed Lover's while all argue is being held about speed. Lets understand the fact that B7R is old Version, with Max Speed 120km/hr. and it can cruise at this speed depending on drivers compatablity.I have experienced myself in Shivneri Volvo. I had purposely Sat in cabin to watch speed, which i occationally do. I witnessed Chasing between NEETA and SHIVNERI Volvo on sloping of Khandala Ghat towards Mumbai at our 110 km/hr NEETA overtook us then ou driver incresed to 120 Km/hr to chase (imagine that too on Ghat)it took almost 10 min to overtake her. what a thrilling experience i had.
Hay i daily travel in a volvo and i have never seen speed more than 100 km/h
